Chandraghanta Mata Puja Vidhi And Mantra
Navratri is one of the most significant and widely celebrated festivals dedicated to honoring the Chandraghanta Mata Puja Vidhi. The festival spans nine days, with each day holding unique importance as devotees worship a different form of the Goddess. The word "Navratri" translates to "nine nights," and it is a time of devotion, prayers, and festivities. Each of the nine days is devoted to one of the powerful forms of Maa Durga.
The nine incarnations of Maa Durga include Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri.
Chandraghanta Mata is worshiped on the third day of Navratri. She is the third form of Goddess Durga and represents peace, bravery, and courage. Her name derives from the half-moon (Chandra) shaped like a bell (Ghanta) on her forehead, symbolizing divine sound that drives away negative energies.
The primary mantra for Chandraghanta Mata is:
"ॐ देवी चंद्रघंटायै नमः" (Om Devi Chandraghantayai Namah)
Worshiping Chandraghanta Mata brings mental peace, strength to face challenges, and protection from all evil forces.
